Art of Letting Go & Living the Moment!

Art of Letting Go & Living the Moment!

Consciousness and Awareness lights the fire of the mind and then it heats the liquidity of the body and moves up as steam towards universal consciousness. One must be lucky to have a teacher one can believe in to take you through the journey of realization.  The path is our own but it helps follow the understandings of those who have been there .Great spiritual masters keep talking of the attitude of letting go. This kind of understanding is definitely a wise way to handle crisis and will come to an evolving mind and if this is inculcated many of the so called life’s difficulties seem only a gusty breeze that passes one by for sure….
So how does one understand how to go about it? Simple by understanding one’s own breathing patterns. If   observed, we cannot hold on to our breath longer than required. It has to go its way. Similarly we cannot hold on to our dear life, as that too shall pass. If that is the case why do we need to hold on to unpleasant emotions that we experienced way way back and let it come in the way of a beautiful life.   Our life is limitless and expansive if we want it to be, so let’s make sure not to curb it, with pent up negative emotions. Let it go, forgive the mistakes and yes forget them too, cos they have passed you by a long time ago, they are not reality as long as you don’t let them visit you in your thoughts.  If they happen to come, be aware they are not worth indulging your time in and release them consciously, instead of being overcome by them. . Letting go of a negative thought can be equated with a whiff of unpleasant breath you want to clear yourself from, a smoky environment that you feel suffocated in so much that you want to escape from, horrible nightmare that you want to awaken from, a bad bruise that you want to heal from ….
The process is not daunting as one thinks it to be. There were two friends who unfortunately fell into a bad patch. One nursed a grudge silently for many years, without voicing it out, however it was burning her deep within. The other was may be aware of it but chose to let the thought pass and went on with her life normally without worries and negativity spoiling her present moment... Who do you think lived her life, and who just existed? Simply put overt retention of bad memories is failing to enjoy the present moment and in turn ending up losing it to time

.
Begin each day with a smile and by believing you are healthy.
Spend some time even 5 minutes in silent inner reflection.
Observe your breath   developing a witness attitude initially
Everyday send positive thoughts to someone you think needs a bit of positivity.
Believe in the infinite power the Energy and its potentiality.
Be alive to every moment and its immense possibilities
Attend to yourself and make the best of all that you are
Celebrate the success that you are and do believe that life is beautiful!
It all turns out Just Wonderful For Sure!

Handle stress wisely!

Handle stress wisely!

Is it only me or there are more of you out there who are at times challenged by these moments I would call ‘ what if ‘… if only I had done this , if only I had said that, if only I had the sense  to think this way and so on and so forth…..!!!
The main reason I feel these feelings occur is that when we are faced with a trying situation for e.g. sometimes some of us buckle under the pressure, maybe to conform with the norm or worry about what is the ideal way to behave that we don’t focus on what is necessary for the moment and fail to capitalize on our strengths.
A few of us feel threatened enough to attack the offender or be brutal enough verbally or physically and regret later about our lack of discretion and control.
Still others who are so numbed by what is happening end up being dumbfounded that they don’t know what struck them... And there are those who are quite indifferent to the situation so much that you wonder if they are human at all only to realise later that there is an emotionally charged outburst long after the stressful event.
Basically when one is feeling pressured or during extreme stress of a new situation with a feeling of being pushed to a wall , we need to be aware of it , but the force of what is coming must be cleverly deflected from our path and neutralised  . If only this learning is valued, taught and applied many of us will be much happier souls. This means we must learn to be present in the moment, for which we first need to develop a keen sense of balance and control in all areas of our life. In thoughts words and deeds. This in itself is a powerful tool to calm a person enough to handle any so called crisis. When we are in a state of balance we are clearer in what we want and our existing resources.
This opens up possibilities of channelling the strengths of our resources positively to the common good of all.

Daily we could simply strive to imbibe at least some of these in our lives…..
 To reduce our impulsive reactions
To balance our needs and expectations
To conquer our ego but value ourselves
To focus on the present moment
To cleanse the mind by thought awareness
To cleanse the body by healing movements
To learn to be patient and develop perseverance
To understand the importance of equanimity and composure
To control anger and other sensory indulgences
To be kind and generous and open minded and tolerant
 To believe in equality
To conquer our unnecessary fears and inhibitions
To live our lives lovingly, completely being in every moment of it without passing it up for another time!
To develop a sense of respect for self and equally respect another.
Finally to be grateful for all that we have at this moment…..When we have the grace of gratefulness we will possibly be more balanced and composed to deal with situations wisely and life’s moments will be turn to be positively enriching experiences.

Joy of Dancing Naturally!

Here I am learning to embrace life in its myriad forms, from the joy of movement to the serenity of silence as well as the journey of silence to movement. In this lies the entire universe and the answer to almost all human endeavors .Along the way have discovered that I love to introduce people to the joys of dancing naturally, as much as my  favored  Latin & Ballroom dancing styles.I share my love for these art forms with all those keen to learn and enjoy these simple pleasures of life whatever their age.

Every dance form is an assimilation of the hopes, aspirations, trials and tribulations of the culture it originates from, so to truly understand the dance one must go back to where and when it all began. For instance travel the journey back in time and realize that a dance form from say Dominican Republic like their national dance Merengue, which seems so much, an expression of exhilaration of life, has more to do with the original pitiable living conditions of the African Slaves of the plantation  masters. These slaves lived a life of subjugation, cruelty and domination being shackled with heavy chains lest the escape. And their very love for life and the need to live the moment happily, comes from their testing living conditions. One can’t help but appreciate the tenacity of the human mind to survive against all odds...
This knowledge of the history of the dance is of good use to the keen student as it becomes very easy to imbibe the attitude of that dance form with even just a reflection of that culture.Taking the students through a journey of movement, pertaining to Latin and ballroom styles, techniques and partner connections and then enthusing in them an appreciation of the art form is something  I have been doing through my Latin &Ballroom Dance Workshops.

Currently the Dance For Wellness Workshops  is on every Sunday at a couple of  locations in  Mumbai & Thane . If you would like to register yourself for the workshop you can  email danceconcepts@rediffmail.com for further details.

Training Wisely.

Importance of warm ups before any moderate to intense training is either ignored or misunderstood. Equally important is the understanding that every warm up should be done as a gentle foundation for a safe activity or training. So it is wise to be able to have a warm up routine which is structured keeping in mind the activity or training that one plans to take up following the warm ups.

We must understand that it takes the body a little time to get going so it’s important to thoroughly warm up for optimal benefits from the training that one partakes in. It’s ideal to start warm ups about 10 to 20 minutes before the training activity. And it’s important that one starts their training as soon as the warm ups are done with. Normally if one divides the warm up session into different phases, then initially it is important to do movements that raise your body temperature and breathing rate gently by low to moderate intensity movements of your choice. This results in muscle fibers becoming more flexible. By the end of this phase you should find yourself sweating but not be out of breath. The next phase must focus on using the bigger muscles which are going to be used greatly during your planned training activity. Doing about 10 to 20 repetitions gradually starting with smaller movements to going through a full range of the motions in the movement.  For example, a serious  dance trainer should have warm ups which include motions that use the specific style that the training focuses on for that particular session, this develops and tones  the muscles enough to prevent  the risk of overuse injury. Simply put certain movements that mimic the game or sport that one intends to train in are also good to be included in the warm up phase. If the planned activity or training requires sudden bursts of energy then it’s the ideal time to introduce varied footwork, rapid direction changes using movements like running or flicking or even kicking. By the end of this phase the body will be sweating and the breathing fast enough for the necessary training to commence without delay.
Points to ponder
To avoid straining muscles  it’s wise to not stretch a cold muscle but to first gently mobilize all the major to minor joints of the body , the neck, shoulders, elbows ,wrists hips, knees, ankles , heels and toes. This simply provides the lubrication required and safeguards the body during warm ups enough to get on with the training activity.
Likewise it’s wise to remember to train oneself to keenly listen to our body .Our body has a knack of communicating through signals and we only need to learn to interpret them. Many a times one finds that there is a slight discomfort in a particular area of our body during warm up phase itself, or our body temperature might be raising too quickly … these signs must be heeded to and we must adjust our training methods accordingly.
Being gentle with your body and learning to not take it for granted and abuse it by overuse or under use will pave the way to optimum health to hold you in good stead all through your life!!!!!

The Student and the Teacher: A Dance of Symbiosis!

Every learning is a two way process. There is the imparter of knowledge, skill and wisdom of truth and the factual, who could be called a guru, teacher, facilitator…. Then there is the one who receives, assimilates, processes, synthesizes and is then convinced about his or her interpretation of assimilation of truth enough to be called the student, shishya, disciple etc.  Now as learning is a never ending process of growth and realization all the seekers of knowledge should have the channels of thoughts words and deeds open for correction, improvement and also be able to retain and sustain the available information to the best of their abilities.

The interpretation of knowledge may happen with respect to the personal state of mind and matter of the receiver no matter whether he is the student or a teacher. Both are only human and they are bound to the imperfections of human nature. The sheer physical or mental magnetism a teacher or student exudes or otherwise must not undermine the purpose. So certain restraint in conduct, both in the physical and mental sense must be in place for a mutually symbiotic relationship to take place. It’s very important for this realization to be clear and apparent enough between both of them before they can begin a journey of refinement that knowledge brings forth. In a situation of misplaced judgement it is important for the other to coach and coax the unwilling and astray mule in the mind of the erring person, back on to the road, whoever they are, student or teacher. As learning is a two way street. The learning will at times make the student a teacher and the teacher a student in the journey of realization.
Many a times the temptation of thoughts will bring even the most dedicated of students or teachers to testing the real purpose of their efforts and practice. At this juncture the control of mind and body actions must be exercised. This if left unchecked could leave room for unnecessary situations which could harm the beautiful synthesis and symbiotic nature of the student teacher relationship. . The boundaries of mind are easily even more difficult to fathom and clarify. It is simple and wise to let the mind be grounded, focused and steadfast in its purpose enough to be clear about the distinction and distance to be maintained while the learning relationship is taking place. As a single stray thought, or action could cause confusion enough to completely toss the relationship boundaries to levels which may be difficult to tilt back to states of equilibrium that needs to be maintained. The teacher must make it clear to himself or herself and to the students that he is there for the purpose of teaching and sharing the knowledge that he has been privy to, probably because of his own levels of ability, understanding, karma, dedication or steadfastness and discipline in acquiring the related skill.  This act itself clears the ground for proper acceptance of a teacher’s education The thought and senses need to be checked before every movement such that there is respect enough for the student towards the teachers’ knowledge and in doing so the teacher manages to gain the required acceptance from the student and learning resumes.

But this is only one side of the coin the student too has certain modes of conduct which must be observed and never crossed. It is very important to understand first of all that neither a teachers time must not be taken for granted nor his teachings. They will be there for you as you need it and thus trust enough to understand that you cannot learn more or less of anything than what is required for you at that time. Secondly it is important that both accept and follow the principles of conduct in which learning is taking place  which is ideally laid down by the form or subject to ensure that both do not stray beyond the boundaries and go off track .
The purpose of learning is absolutely free flowing and spills over to life and its situations and circumstances so this association of thought must not be confused with favoritism and partiality of any kind between both of them. In some learning the personal space both physical and mental greatly narrows down between the teacher and student putting them in a quandary especially if both are seeing a reflection of thoughts and actions in each other. This is definitely a situation to exercise caution enough to circumvent the spill over of knowledge beyond the cup of the mind. Finally there is the need to assimilate and interpret an information and only then act upon it , not get taken by impulse so much that you don’t give  the other side the benefit of doubt.
The realization that experiences necessary for your learning and growth come to you must be clear but at the same time you must realise that no student or teacher can exercise and influence you to the degree that you do not want to be.

Learn what YOU CAN COMFORTABLY ACCEPT NOT MORE NOR LESS.
AS FOR REALIZATION IT IS BOUND TO KNOCK YOUR DOOR ONE DAY OR THE OTHER IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME….

Smile from the Heart....

Living in a appearance oriented world, we are quite conscious of how we appear to the world on a physical level , often disregarding how we feel inside ,causing us to very often disconnect with our inner consciousness. Its important then to bridge this mind body disconnect with whatever the path  that you prefer to choose ,peeling the layers of disconnect and pave the path to healing oneself towards being  a better person inside to outside!
When we are more focused in our inner cross examinations  we  may realise the real meaning of why we are what we are , and the true substance in our lives .
We must truly think of what and how we can evolve into a better being, cos life lived without direction and focus is a life never lived.... however  the process of our inner ruminations  need not always sap our motivations and test  our limits  to such extents that we lose ourselves in the effort, and forget to smile from our  core, at our near and dear ones,  We can  learn to find our selves amidst the chaos if we learn to stop over analysing ourselves  and living the moment from now on .
Things are dandy if only we stop and realise it...  Lets care enough to smile from the Heart!!!!!!!!!!

Wisdom in Moderation !

My first intentional practice of Tai Chi began on a rainy day in the month of June. The sweet sound of rain in all its rhythmic glory, the cleansing nature of the rain was just as wonderfully comforting as much as the experience of Tai chi, with its movement in stillness and the stillness of its movements.
As I tried to move in unison with breathe and learned to direct the momentum for the movements from the central core of the body to the outward, I could draw the parallels of the simple yet profound principles of Tai Chi giving us the wisdom of moderation.
It only adds to the fact that this moderation makes you want to work at building progressively than to push the boundaries and stretch beyond your abilities to the point of probably injuring yourself and giving up altogether.
A life lived in the middle path gives one equanimity to see beyond the obvious. To envision the duality of existence enough to understand joy and sorrow, are not something eternal. Life becomes simple and just as easy to live as we make it to be letting go of excesses of any kind, which ultimately works towards healing oneself from within.
The rain belting its pitter- patter rhythm on my open window sill, the occasional bursts of cool breeze surrounding me now and then was in tune with my learning to release and melt away the accumulated stresses through conscious gentle outward movements to the ground. I felt a few varied sensations coming to me vying for attention, but as soon as my focus returned to movements in silent contemplation of the flow of breath the very same sensations completely vanished.
It was so peaceful to end the practice with breath awareness and mindful movements that I must add that like everything else in life, Tai Chi is to be taken in measured doses just as much as it’s required and must be ideally learned under the guidance of a good teacher to experience the gamut of life enriching experiences it surely has to offer.
As I completed my  practice for  the moment , suddenly there was thunder and lightning  signifying the  release of feel good endorphins and hopefully  opening up of some of the blockages in myself  .This is after all the essence of Tai chi , the supreme ultimate to be one with Nature and learn to nurture it .

A humble dedication to the Tai Chi form and the powers of the supreme in and around us!

Circles of Life.... ' Explore the Strength within'

What are you feeling that you ain’t felt before,
Why do u feel it can’t happen to you,
What really do u feel at the very core,
Why do feel it’s a big issue when its actually nothing new!

Everything happens just as before
It’s the same life drawing another circle
Same old sadness and laughter, you need to explore
Just a different ground before you to tackle.

So go on and build your sense of direction in life.
Make sure to be happy as you live life through!
Make the trials, torments, despair and strife,
Turn into a passion to make your dreams true.

Evolve further and stop depending,
Go through with all that you want to do
Yes, from others learn to be less expecting
Then you are sorted enough , for the journey that delves deep into ….

COME AWAY REALISING ALL THE ANSWERS THAT WERE ALWAYS WITH YOU …..

Happy in the here and now!

As a mother of a growing teenager I have been witnessing a number of amazing experiences that only a mother and child are privy to and hold each of these moments close to my heart. I watch as my child is evolving into a vivacious yet emotionally intelligent teen, bubbly, full of life yet practical and sensible with a heart and mind of her own. Although my heart oft yearns for some of these wonderful moments to stay on forever, I know I have got to let it go, as time and tide waits for none. But each time I have this immense respect for this power of the infinite to carry on creating, and wonder where all this harnessing of energies is taking place. And to this divine form, which could possibly be creative feminism or the power of Shakti, the creator I humbly bow and hope that you bestow some of latent creative potential on all the beings around for them to evolve to the best of their beings .
Coming back to the silent amazement that I feel is the way in which a child is moving from a situation of pure bliss of ignorance on to the happy in the here and now state of existence and later on moves on to a state of awareness of the world and all its actions and consequences. Gradually the child starts searching a meaning to this life and its relation to the world at large.
More than everything else I watch as the curiosity leads to discoveries and at times frustrations to accomplishments.  I, as a parent  do try to necessitate an awareness in my child to be linear in her thinking process. From a very young age if reading and writing are made a habit it definitely puts you in a state of calm by correcting and balancing the thought process, as one learns to be aware as well as gradually accepting the sequence of changes . After all change is inevitable and the natural order of growth  .  It enables one to have a beginning, middle and an end to a thought or action and thus helps you learn to be present in the moment and also let it go. This makes you less prone to being a victim of situations & circumstances of life.
Happy in the here and now is a wonderful habit to cultivate for all of us; however it is equally necessary to have a focus in life and necessitate actions towards that goal and evolve further. This adds meaning in to life and life begets the ultimate satisfaction of having lived consciously.
Loving every moment of life and learning to be aware and conscious of each moment as it passes by is a fact ,which can be so easily learned watching your own child grow .Thank you dear child as you teach me the lessons of life and living fine.

LOVE U JUST THE WAY YOU ARE

LOVE U JUST THE WAY YOU ARE

(  A HUMBLE TRIBUTE TO MY DEAREST GRANDMOTHER SHARDAMBAL)

My grandmother the quintessential traditional woman always sari clad in 9 yards of south Indian Iyer families garb. I always think she epitomizes the look completely. There never has been and never will be a person more graceful and beautiful in carrying off the sari worn as it is in such a restricting way like her ever . Such is her poise and such her grace in whatever she does. She is totally a woman of old world charm and new age practicality, a sum total of an Indian woman of substance!
What strikes me most was that all through the years she is as fresh as a daisy morning evening or night, with her beautiful but simple round red bindi on her forehead giving her that stunning completeness to her equally unparalleled and age defying face. She has never worn a trace of make up or colored her now grey hair ever but well she could walk the ramp in Paris or anywhere without any modern beauty aids and yet beget a wow from the onlookers  with her stately posture and of course her  composure in everything that she does .
My 89 year old grandfather is suffering from brain tumor and his memory is fading. He is hardly able to do anything on his own right now and will probably be slipping into coma any moment   but she is his pillar of strength and to all of us relatives right now in these trying times. She feeds him cleans and cares for him day or night unflinching in her devotion to her husband. Amazingly she has garnered more reserve of energy than all of us relatives put together in that grand age of 85 herself.
Since grandfathers condition was known to all of us during a recent trip to Chennai city out of their quaint native town Elathur in Tenkasi TN, and with him being admitted in a hospital the doctors gave up hope of his survival beyond a few weeks, her only resolve was to somehow take him back to his own serene village home for the positivity that would envelop him in the final stages of his life. She was unmoved in her resolve to take him back home even though each of her four equally amazing daughters devotedly did their best for their father in their own individual ways. She stood firm with her belief that it is grandfathers wish too that he be transported somehow back to where he belongs his roots his soil his home for the last 89 years or more. On this she would voice her opinion everyday to her loving daughters and vehemently oppose any further delays than the proposed date of returning back to the village.
Meanwhile grandfather s condition was sinking rapidly the onslaught of the illness caught up with him losing more weight than ever and he was but a bag of bones with a body weight of only 36 kilos or less he was always a lean man but always more of a man in every sense of the term he of course happens to be the best grandfather anyone ever has had but to get writing on him is deserving of another tribute altogether.
In the meantime each day is a challenge to all to be handled with care with solutions that only the moment of time brings forth.
It was the D-day finally the day for her fervent wish to be granted and grandfather was tenderly escorted to the ambulance which was needed to take him back to his favorite place in the world, his home. The fresh air and the equally fresh and energetic vibrations that only a divine concoction of simple minds and simple living of simple people can hope to have. I am sure that they would be happier there than any other place in the world…
All my memories of my grandparents are rich in only one thing simplicity in their souls which reflected in their deeds and unfolded in  kindness, helpfulness, affection, warmth, care and many such remarkable feelings beyond compare. My grandmother had never seen her mother ever as she lost her when she was delivered into this world ,she was brought up by her relatives and married off in a tender age to a suitable boy.Temper wise they come across as opposites with grandfather throwing a fit now and then
and she with her arsenal of the cool and collected wisdom which only comes along with years of awareness and restraint  thrown in .They almost always seemed cross with each other with grandfather taking her as always for granted through the years and yet would never want to even think of staying apart from each other all through their lives !
I will always remember the mouth watering snacks and sweets that she would have to make in copious amounts to appease the ever hungry and ready to finish grandchildren and all of us would be transformed to cooks and helpers and we would all collectively cut clean and cook with them and share the fun together during our yearly holiday jaunts with them at our native place.
She would have been a great critic of sorts as she had an uncanny ability to see beyond the visible  and often she was criticized for voicing her opinion so honestly  but was as simple as they could get  she would honestly call a spade a spade and irk some of her own folks. But well the so called tactfulness is also a modern day necessity I guess!  I think we youngsters could learn a thing or two from such an example of a pair about managing our own relationships and I guess we all have a long way to get to that level as no amount of intelligence gathered from books is going to teach us this. To be one, to be united is great, but respecting the right to be different is may be even greater......

Our very own Mr Bee!

 Mr Bee

The week gears up for a start
And to the campus I depart.
Journey kicks off in its usual pace
Co passengers seem so much in a daze.
People board trains in so much hurry
With kicks or two and no time for a sorry!
Somehow I reach in time for the lecture
Happy to land without a fracture!
The lecturer arrives well before his time
Likewise to Mr Weatherbee ,bald before his prime.
Starts his usual round of roll call
And the class begins its usual bawl.
He looks up to say we have no decency nor shame
He looks down not knowing whom to blame.
He finishes his job and gets up to teach
And we all know just what he will preach.
Try as he might from making the subject a bore
Writing his notes makes our fingers sore!
Every minute or two he'd pull up his pants
Every second or two of Jesus he chants!
What is tough is to get our concentration
As we were swayed by his style and presentation!
He speaks in a language quite high
Stresses on punctuations , making us sigh!
He is a funny , witty prof all done and said
He makes us laugh till we all turn red!

A Tear and a Smile

A tear and a smile......................

He and she are at opposite ends
Each of them do the disappearing act
One knows not what each intends
They come and go as if on a contract

He's the tear who brings relief to an aching heart
She is the smile who sometimes ensures a rainbow of laughter as quick as a dart!
He takes his course when you are feeling low
And just to throw the frown of your brow she is there to help him do so!

Smile,' She' is a beautiful heart with so much love to spare
Tear,'He' is the rain which generously does care
Smile is like the sun who comes out from within the clouds with the day with us to share.
Tear, yes he pours on a parched land and unselfishly the greens of nature bares!

This is more about learning to understand and respect our emotions for what they are, accepting them and letting it go without dwelving too much into them and living life developing the quality of equanimity !
"Greens of nature baring itself back again on the once parched land"  is  my idea of nature   bringing back the balance unto itself  ! Savvy

Perfect Partners

                                        Perfect Partners
I'd like you to dance with me

Hey hello whats your name
I'd like you to dance with me

Hold me tight lovely dame
We will soon know what is ecstasy

We 'll  feel the beat , I'll gently guide
 Synchronize and float and glide.

We ll soon reach our own sweet world
And not care whats said or told

The world will look in such awe
At the way you dance with me

Stick to me all night long
Cos we can dance on endlessly

I'll show the world I m in luck
I just realized fantasy
So Dance With Me Some  More Time
It seems like we are gonna steal the show
I'm telling you so seriously
I wish that with me you were stuck

So stick to me like a glue
And not for a moment feel the blue

I'll never leave you a single day
We can feel the beat and sway.

So please girl come what may
I 'll always hope you'll come my way

The way we Dance , none can dance
And watching us the worlds gone into a trance....

One of my old songs written way back in 1991 thinking how it would be dancing with that one perfect partner. which a few of us are lucky enough to find in a lifetime. !!
This is one of  my daughters  favorites...if you like it do care to comment  !!!

Who are you fooling?

Who are you fooling?

Today’s morning newspaper was the case in question. Half page of our national newspaper had this huge photograph of a cheese shredder and an imploration of how much time is wasted by the whole act of shredding cheese onto your food preparation and then you turn the page and you have another colorful slickly packaged product from the clever social pathogens –shredded cheese in ready to use plastic pouches…. where are we going?? Actually every new product like this gives me the jitters –of am I going to fight its induction into my refrigerator , every new food product is an addition to an already overcrowded load of convenience foods so skillfully laid out for the taking in our supermarkets.
You are out shopping for few small items that are exhausted in your kitchen and if you enter a super-market ,then 101%you would be out carrying 10  or more things that you might not want not be needing or at least not immediately .This is the power of the packaging  & marketing  gimmicks of the food and retail industry but this is not our issue at the moment !
I would like to first know if this word “natural processed cheese” does not sound a tad bit strange to you  ??? Aren’t you being fooled and taken for ride?
First of all anything that has been processed ,which actually means most of our food supplies simply has gone through a process of change from its earlier natural state and so is not natural anymore. If you have ever shredded cheese in  a shredder ,you might have observed that it has a tendency to stick to each other and form a lump but on the contrary to have a packet of shredded cheese out in the market  it must have definitely had to go through several chemical and packaging process which have made it free flowing for use .This is the truth of so many packaging products so don’t ever be fooled by the words “finely  blended or pre shredded” which all though may be convenient for the moment, is definitely one of those products which could bring inconvenience of ill health  to your door!!!

Next ,I flip the page and in front of me is this picture of the most horrific looking bag I have  set my eyes on recently!!!
And the first thing that came to my mind  was that may be this is this an ad for some old things or charity that could be given away for a cause !?!? A cursory glance at the heading and I am witness to a foreign label and a foreign language probably from Italian or French, which supposedly still spells  fashion to our Indian mindset!!!
I am intrigued that this piece of luggage which literally
had no form, no sheen, with lackluster shreds of thread or god knows what all around it ,looking as if it had recently seen the insides of a high speed washing machine in the “Jeans mode” was presumably calf leather being marketed as a bag  for the Indian women available at the high end stores at sky rocketing prices!!!! Well if that is fashion then I definitely
want to turn the page as fast as I can!!!@#$%^&**

A Soul in Japan- Saying it as it is

A Soul in Japan- Saying it as it is

The calm’th of the sea terrifies me
As I walk in the waters engulfing my knee,
Not a single wave does ride
Just as if no flicker of hope is left for me to pride

There is the memory of all that is conceded
Of all that is seeming receded.
But I will not have me capitulating
I always have felt I must be chary,
And never for once my belief did vary.

Though I thought my soul had reached the point of going berserk
My crotchety mind preferred decrepitude than to it havoc wreck.
Once a cynosure of a loving heart has now lead to a debacle.
Though, to what heights can resilience tackle?
Of troubles that seem to reach the welkin ,
Of travail through fathomless depths yet in the making……??????
I do not seethe……!!!!!!!! I do not seethe……!!!!!!!!

My Bro A Puppy Lover

My Bro A Puppy Lover

Born was my brother, five years hence
And since he was born I've never known silence
A cute and serious kid he was
But he is growing up to be quite a boss

Often he is too furious towards people
He retorts in anger, which comes quick and simple.
But if you have see him in his true form
Just catch him with puppies and dogs who often around him like flies swarm

Just give him a dog or a puppy and take a look at his face warm,
That I sometimes think he could start a puppy farm
He shares with them a strange rapport and understanding
And it sometimes seems heart rendering

Cos often he just has to a whistle sound
And from all around ,dogs of all colors shapes and sizes will him surround
And I see him give them so much love and care

That I often wish that a little of that love  with humans he would share....

Memoirs- Wake up wake up my sleeping heart

Memoirs- Wake up wake up my sleeping heart

Wake up wake up my sleeping heart

Wake up wake up my sleeping heart
Don’t lie back and remember,
Change your track for a new start,
Don’t think of that which has gone into the ember.
Today is there because there was a yesterday,
What is to happen tomorrow let it set in on its own,
So rest your mind awhile don’t let it stray
And what is there today try not to disown.
Today when a new wind has blown afresh,
Don’t think of that windy day,
Leave your heart free to feel a tumult or a crush
And dont give in so easily to the colour of grey.
Have dreams and hopes don’t leave it to another,
Learn to enjoy today as an art of living,
Don’t give in to fuss and bother,
Awake from deep slumber and often keep smiling.
There is so much to do and so little time,
Whatever you do do it with the same old passion,
Cos it’s much more a crime,
To keep your heart in check and ration....
Try living for today and only the moment.
Try to be open to those loving few,
Give more of yourself without a comment
Soon you will have a heart which may never need a mend or a sew….
